Southern Charm’s Season 10 Finale: Same Old Song and Dance
Spoilers ahead for the Southern Charm Season 10 finale.
Last night’s Southern Charm finale felt like one of those parties where you spend the whole night hoping something exciting will happen—and then you realize the most interesting thing was the free cheese plate.
The season had some moments, but mostly? It was the same recycled drama with different packaging.
The Men: Forever Peter Pans
Craig and Austen kissed and made up because of course they did. Craig admitted he let Paige announce their breakup because he “didn’t want it to be real.” Translation: emotional avoidance disguised as personal growth. Austen, meanwhile, spent the season doing what Austen does—circling the emotional drain without ever actually committing to anything.

Then there’s Shep. Oh, Shep. Can we talk about the Sienna situation? Because that whole thing felt so bizarre and manufactured, it might as well have had a Bravo watermark in the corner. Out of nowhere, Shep is suddenly in a relationship with Sienna—except they have all the chemistry of two people forced to sit next to each other on a long flight. It was giving contractual obligation, not romantic connection. And we’re supposed to believe Shep, Mr. Peter Panhimself, is ready for a serious relationship? Please.
The Women: Deserving Better Storylines

Madison threw a summer soirée with newcomer Ryan, but instead of focusing on her new chapter, the show sidelined her into a completely dull side plot about JT’s barber confessions. Madison deserves better than being reduced to gossip about JT’s haircuts.
Taylor and Salley’s feud over accusations and confrontations felt like déjà vu. The show gave them just enough screen time to keep the drama alive, but not enough to actually let them develop as characters. It’s like the producers are allergic to giving the women real storylines that don’t revolve around whatever the men are doing.
My Cold Take?
Season 10 had its highs, but the lows were all too familiar. The men remain man-children, and the women, who should be front and center, are stuck in the same old narratives.
Shep’s storyline with Sienna was so painfully forced, even Bravo couldn’t edit it into something believable.
The women deserve better, and honestly, so do we.
If this is the future of Southern Charm, the charm might finally be wearing off.
Yep. Reminded me of VPR’s season before Scandoval. Recycled, forced, boring, etc. The men used to be unlikable but entertaining. Now I’m beginning to actively hate all of them. So annoying that they cut the scenes with the women getting together. And Shep’s comment on the After Show about Paige’s “stupid talk show”. Them’s fightin’ words, and I’m not even a big fan.
